In last Article I have explained the way of making imperative of  strong verb.
In this Article I am gonna tell you the way of making imperative of weak verbs be it Assimilated, Hollow or Defective respectively.

So let's get started!

Assimilated verb (الفعل المثال )

First of all, remember that we make the imperative from present tense. Now if it is assimilated present verb there will be no 1st root letter as it  dropped during making present tense.
for example:

یَعِد  which was in fact  یَوْعِدُ

یَسِرُ  which was in fact  یَیْسِرُ

یَضَعُ  which was in fact  یَوْضِعُ

So as you see that waw is dropped in present tense. Now let's make its imperative.

1) Drop the sign of present ( Alamt Al-Mudhare')
2) Now the next letter is your second root letter ( which we say "A'en Kalimah"). and it will be definitely with any vowel sign ( Mutaharrik). So we needn't to bring Hamzah in the beginning.
3) Now just make the last letter sakin.
For example:

ضَعْ   From    تَضَعُ

4) And if it Dual, Masculine Plural or 2nd person feminine singular, Just Drop the Nun ( ن )

For Example:

ضَعِیْ  ضَعَا  ضَعُوْا

Hollow Verbs (الفعل الاجوف)

Now if you want to make imperative of Hollow verb (i.e. the verb whose middle root letter is weak letter), then follow the following steps. But Remember that second root letter remains sakin in hollow verbs so to define the vowel sign of 2nd radical letter, you have to refer to the dictionary to see the form / pattern ( باب ) of the verb.
For example:

یَقُوْل   ، یَبِیْعُ   ، یَخَافُ

1) Drop the sign of present ( Alamt Al-Mudhare')
2) Now see if the next letter is Sakin or Mutaharrik ( In Hollow verb, it will be always Mutaharrik)
3) Find out the vowel sign of the 2nd root letter what it was in actual?
4) After defining the sign, Put that sign at first root letter.
5) Now make the last letter sakin. Now 2 Sakin letter are gathered so, we will drop the vowel letter whether it is Ya, Alif or Waow (و، ا، ی )

For example:

تَقُوْلُ  which was in actual قُلْ

تَبِیْعُ which was in actual  بِعْ

تَخَافُ which was in actual  خَفْ

6) And if it is Dual, Masculine Plural or 2nd person feminine singular, Just Drop the Nun ( ن ). And the vowel letter we had dropped in Singular, will return at its place.
For example:

, قُل،  has returned which was dropped in  (و) قُوْلِی ، قُوْلَا ، قُوْلُوا

, بِعْ ، has returned which was dropped in (ی) بِیْعِیْ ، بِیْعَا ، بِیْعُوْا

, خَفْ، has returned which was dropped in ( ا) خَافِیْ ، خَافَا ، خَافُوْا

Defective Verb (الفعل الناقص  )

یَقْلیٰ،  یَنْفِیْ،  یَدْنُوْ

If you want to make the imperative of Defective verb (i.e. the verb whose last root letter is vowel), there are some other rules to construct it which are as follows:

1) Drop the sign of Present ( Alaamt Al-Mudhare')
2) See if the next letter is Sakin or Mutaharrik.
3) If it is sakin bring the Hamzah according to the 2nd root letter, i.e. if it is Madhmum bring Hamzaha-e- Madhmumah ( اُ)  otherwise Maksurah   ( أِ )
4) Now Drop the last vowel letter.

For example:

اِقْلَ  from  تَقْلَیٰ

اِنْفِ  from  تَنْفِیْ

اُدْنُ  from  تَدْنُو

5) And if it is Dual, Masculine Plural or 2nd person feminine singular, Just Drop the Nun ( ن ). And the vowel letter we had dropped in Singular, will return at its place.
For example:

( اِقْلَ )  has returned which was dropped in  (ی)  اِقْلَیَا  اِقْلِیْ  اِقْلُوْا

( اِنْفِ ) has returned which was dropped in    (ی)  اِنْفِیْ  انْفَا اِنْفُوْا

      ( اُدْنُ )  has returned which was dropped in  (و)  اُدْنِیْ  اُدْنُوا، اُدْنُوْا

I hope you have learnt the method of making imperative.
Next I will present the way of making negative imperative.
